RED BARON *.DAT Charts, Tables (IBM)
RBCHTS.ZIP by Graeme von Cree (7.5 kb ZIP)

I've broken out the data from the *.dat files to create tables for the aces, squadrons and aerodromes, showing personal planes, percentage of novices, regulars and veterans for each unit, types of planes used by each type of pilot, and more.

AOTP: WWII 1946 II (60~ kb ZIP)
By “Tagert” aka Grant C. Senn, 11 August 1993

Saved from oblivion by (http://www.gamers.org/pub/games/uwp-uml/), and now rehosted here.

This mod of the 1946 expansion disk adds the XP-72 and P-51H as flyables and they're integrated into the 1946 campaign as such:

Other plane changes are:

P400 Airacobra Mod (7.5 kb ZIP)
(circa 31 July 1993)

“The basic difference between this and the P39D in AOTP, is instead of a 37mm cannon with 15 rounds, you have a 20mm cannon with 60 rounds. From all the information I've been able to find, the P400, in it's various forms flew intermixed with the P39 until the entire type was withdrawn from service.”

Aces of the Pacific: What we have found out, Up to Now (v7)
(circa 23 October 1993) (18 kb ZIP)

Text file with information on how to edit AOTP, and what's what.

Aces over Europe Mods

Several mods were made for AOE; they were obtained from a long-forgotten website – it *may* have been (http://acepage.beckament.net/); but I'm not sure. It's now off-line, and while you can view the HTML in the wayback machine archive, the ZIP files weren't archived. :-(

ACES OVER WESTERN EUROPE 1940
THE BATTLE OF FRANCE AND THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN, WITH BIPLANES
By Charles Gunst, 30 June 1998

This ZIP file, AOWEST40.ZIP, provides a new, complete, and I hope seamless, patch for Aces over Europe, of the air campaigns of 1940, the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. It provides completely new aircraft, including 3 biplanes, new squadrons and new pilots, with more realistic flight models, damage characteristics and weapon loads, new campaigns, new historical missions, and three new air forces, the French Armee de l'Air, the Dutch Luchtvaartafdeling and the Belgian Aeronautique Militaire, plus Italian Regia Aeronautica squadrons as well. It is a historical rather than hypothetical addition, which enables you to fly in and against a lot of new machines that were actually available in 1940.

This ZIP file, AOE1941.ZIP, provides a new, complete, and I hope seamless, era patch for Aces over Europe, of the air campaigns of 1941. It complements my earlier era patches AOE 1940 and AOE 1942, and provides the aircraft available to the protagonists in Western Europe and on the Eastern Front, in 1941. The period covered is from the invasion of Russia on 22 June 1941 until the Russian counter-offensive of December 1941. Three air forces are included, the Luftwaffe, RAF, and Russian Air Force (the Voenno-Vozdushnie Sili, or VVS). It provides new aircraft, including classic mid-war aircraft like the Spitfire Vb, Hurricane II, Whirlwind, Bf-109E and F, He-112B, Bf-110F, the Italian Macchi Mc-200 and Mc-202 , and classic early Russian machines like the Polikarpov I-16, MiG-3 and Yak-1.There are new squadrons and new pilots, with more realistic flight models, damage characteristics and weapon loads, new campaigns, new historical missions, and ships including British aircraft carriers and German surface raiders.

ACES OVER EUROPE 1942
New mid-War aircraft, squadrons, pilots and campaigns for AOE
By Charles Gunst, 11 November 1997

This ZIP file, AOE1942.ZIP, provides a new, complete, and I hope seamless, era patch for Aces over Europe, of the air campaigns of 1942. It follows on from my earlier AOE1940, and provides the aircraft available to the protagonists in Western Europe in the mid-war period, in 4 separate air forces, including the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm.

It simulates a period when the Luftwaffe stood on the defensive, but had not yet been overwhelmed. It provides completely new aircraft, including classic mid-war aircraft like the Spitfire Vb, Whirlwind, Typhoon, Bf-110G, Me-210A, P-38E and P-39, new squadrons and new pilots, with more realistic flight models, damage characteristics and weapon loads, new campaigns, new historical missions, and new ships including British aircraft carriers and German surface raiders.
