SEGA Daisenryaku Lineage

In 1991 SEGA of Japan bought the rights/license to use the Daisenryaku engine to produce a series of World War II games, resulting in the following games.

Advanced Daisenryaku
(21 June 1991 – Megadrive)

World Advanced Daisenryaku: Koutetsu no Senpuu / Iron Storm (Cover / Back)
(ワールドアドバンスド大戦略 ~鋼鉄の戦風~)
(22 September 1995 – Sega Saturn)

Localized by Working Designs and released in the US as Iron Storm on 8 May 1996.

World Advanced Daisenryaku: Sakusen File (Cover / Back)
(ワールドアドバンスド大戦略 ~作戦ファイル~)
(15 March 1996 – Sega Saturn)

A sort of “sequel” to WAD:KnS / Iron Storm was released in 1996 in Japan only on the Saturn. It’s basically Iron Storm version 1.5; with a complete Soviet Campaign and a hypothetical mythical campaign involving all the major powers of the world as playables. Many of the “hypothetical” campaign scenarios from Iron Storm are now available as playable scenarios in Sakusen File.

Advanced Daisenryaku: Europe no Arashi - Deutsch Dengeki Sakusen
(アドバンスド大戦略~ヨーロッパの嵐・ドイツ電撃作戦~)
(21 June 2000 – Dreamcast)

Advanced Daisenryaku 2001

This is effectively a remake of the original Sega Megadrive/Genesis Advanced Daisenryaku.
